Building block: use a published block
A building block is a separate, tested piece of work: an HTTP call, a bit of Python, an AI prompt or, as here, a pattern that pulls order numbers out of text. With the Building block step you use a published version in your workflow. You link every input to data from the workflow; the result gets a name.
Open Flow and create a workflow
In the portal, under Environments, click Development and there Open; Flow opens in a new tab. There, click + next to General, choose New workflow and give it a name. A new workflow starts with an Event trigger: the point where it begins.
Choose the building block
Put a customer email in the sample data. Add Building block and choose the published block; after the name are its kind and its version. The step gets the block's name.
Link the input
Under the choice is every input of the building block; a * means required. Flow fills in {{name}} already; change it to the field you really want to pass on: {{message}}. Under Store the result as you name the outcome.
Put the steps in one line and save
Select the steps (click the first, and the others while holding Shift) and click Align horizontally: they then stand in one line and you read the workflow from left to right; a branch (such as No of an If / Else) gets its own row below. Fit to view puts everything in sight; then Save.
